Our original assignment for today’s blog was to do exercise #4 on pg. 22 in the book Writing About Cool by Jeff Rice. For the exercise we had to link all of our classes together that we are taking this semester through their readings and discussions. Since I only have one class with readings and discussion time (English 201) I chose to do a different exercise (with permission from my TA). The exercise that I am going to write about is #1 on pg. 12. It says “Construct a museum of cool Internet sites. By this, we don’t mean find sites you consider to exemplify ‘cool’, but rather construct an inventory of as many sites that you can find using cool in their title, content, or lists.”
Here are some websites that I found.

That's very interesting. Did you view any of the sites and see the way in which "cool" was being used? For example, is it being used to rebel against some established system, as in a ground-breaking way or is it being used in a way to make people view the site and purchase items, etc.?
The coolhunting site is really neat. Did you look at the thing about the reversible destiny lofts? I'm not sure about their missing of evading death by interior design, but it's still quite impressive.
Cool was mainly used to make people like it. For example one of the sites was about "cool" math problems. There was a site that I put up that appeared on like the first search page that was the yuckiest things, which could be considered "cool" to some people.
